The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank has launched its first polymer $50 banknote, and will roll out further polymer notes throughout the next two years. In a speech on May 29, governor Timothy Antoine stressed the strength of the Eastern Caribbean dollar, which is used by six nations and two British overseas territories in the Caribbean. He then announced the launch of the new $50 polymer note, which was first unveiled last year. The new $100, $20 and $10 notes are expected to be issued in
